What can I expect during the shoot?
Expect to have a fun and enjoyable time during the shoot. Creating a comfortable atmosphere is crucial to capturing the best images. Please avoid coaching your children to "smile for the camera," as forced smiles are obvious. Genuine energy and emotion make for the best photos, so let your children have fun and enjoy themselves!
What should we wear?
Choosing the right attire can be challenging, but opting for complementary color palettes is a simple approach. Consider neutral colors with pops of color for accents when coordinating outfits for a group. Start by dressing Mom, as it can be challenging to find an outfit that she loves and feels great in. Then, select outfits for Dad and the children that complement Mom's chosen color palette. Please avoid fine stripes on clothing, as they can cause moiré and distortion in the final image.
Where should we have our photos taken?
The location depends on the type of session you're scheduling. Newborn, cake smash, and milestone sessions typically take place in my studio, while maternity and family sessions offer a choice of outdoor locations. Some of my favorite outdoor spots include local parks and temples.
What time will our session be scheduled?
The scheduling depends on the type of session you're booking. Newborn, cake smash, and milestone sessions usually occur in the mornings, around 10 or 11 am. Maternity and family sessions are often scheduled in the evenings to make the most of the beautiful golden hour light.
Are digital images included in my package?
Yes, your package includes digital images with a print release. Although we offer printing services at our photography studio, you are not obligated to print with us.
